Description:

  • What becomes possible when we embody a centered presence in our coordination with others? How do we align ourselves with a larger purpose while moving as part of a group? In this workshop, we’ll explore practices that deepen our ability to move in coordination, recognize our individual impact on the collective, and expand our capacity to act with purpose and intention toward our shared goals and visions.

  • This workshop is an introduction to politicized somatics. It’s designed both for people who are brand new to this methodology and for those returning to deepen their practice. We will cover core somatic concepts, establish the relevance of politicized somatics, and teach foundational practices that you can bring to your daily life. After completing an intro workshop, participants are welcome to join our weekly practice group.

Access information: All practices can be done seated or standing. Masks are optional unless specified for a specific workshop. If you have had a recent COVID exposure or COVID symptoms, please test negative before coming to a workshop. Sabathani has an elevator, and gendered bathrooms.
